Transportation Services – Peninsula Agency on Aging
Transportation: an act of carrying people or goods from one place to another
Peninsula Agency on Aging’s transportation program is innovative and utilizes wheel chair accessible vans as well as community volunteers to transport senior citizens, aged 60 and older, to non-emergency medical appointments. The program is available to non-driving seniors who have no access to public transportation, cannot afford private transportation or are not eligible for medicaid transportation.
Transportation is available for non-emergency medical appointments, adult day care centers and PAA sponsored activities.
PAA transportation has operated on the Virginia Peninsula for over forty years. Service is provided in the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, James City County, Poquoson and York County.
