If health or other problems arise, we are here as a guide, even when you’re not sure what kind of help you need. We can provide adaptive equipment, guidance on housing options, home-delivered meals and support for families and caregivers.

We work closely with the community’s service providers so that we can connect you with additional services that answer your particular needs.

Nutrition Services

Peninsula Agency on Aging’s mission is to provide the necessary services to seniors through a variety of programs.

Our nutrition services, for those 60 years and older, supports the recipients through the Home Delivered Meals program, or Meals on Wheels (as it is better known) and the Senior Dining Centers located throughout the communities we serve.

Transportation Services - Peninsula Agency on Aging

Transportation Services

PAA’s transportation program is innovative and utilizes wheel chair accessible vans as well as community volunteers to transport senior citizens, aged 60 and older, to non-emergency medical appointments.

The program is available to non-driving seniors who have no access to public transportation, cannot afford private transportation or are not eligible for medicaid transportation.

Care  Services

The Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA) is the leading regional advocate on aging issues. PAA supports the life of Peninsula residents primarily 60 years of age and over with the Care Services programs.

By serving as a clearing house of resources, PAA coordinates care services with public agencies and private providers with the goal to improve the quality of life. PAA helps to develop a personalized plan from your hospital transitions to your daily home life. Our care coordinator will work with the client to access and coordinate any services or information needed to maintain a more indepedent life.

Advance Care Planning

PAA is pleased to be a founding partner of the Advance Care Planning Coalition of Eastern Virginia. Through the Coaliton’s As You Wish ADVANCE CARE PLANNING PROGRAM you can receive information on the Advance Care Planning process and guidance on completing your personal Advance Directive.
