How to volunteer?

By becoming a MedTran driver you will join our pool of Agency volunteers assisting seniors in living more healthy and independent lives.

Volunteer Requirements:

o      Volunteer drivers need a current valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance (minimal liability insurance as required by the state of Virginia), a clean driving record, and be able to pass a standard criminal background check.

o      Have a love of seniors, the desire to make new friends, and the heart to help!

MedTran volunteers enjoy the following rewards and benefits:

o      Flexible schedules and routes - volunteer as little or as much as you choose.

o      Have a direct impact in the community by helping seniors in your own neighborhood.

o      Transport seniors from the comfort of your own car or drive an Agency provided vehicle.

o      Supplemental insurance provided.

o      Share the joy of giving - excellent opportunity for civic, fraternal organizations, or faith-based groups to volunteer together.
