PAA Meals On Wheels Benefit

Join our community in a night of great entertainment in an effort to support PAA’s Meals on Wheels program! PAA has provided meals for hundreds of senior citizens in the Williamsburg area. The benefit night will feature live music from a local band, London. Come help London “Rock the Winter” for the Peninsula Agency on Aging Meals On Wheels. There will be a 50/50 raffle with food & drinks to order. All donations will go directly to the Peninsula Agency on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program.
This Winter – Help Keep A Senior Warm
Winter is fast approaching and our community seniors are in need. Your donation of blankets, warm winter items and cash donations will help ensure that a senior stays warm during the winter.
Cash donations will support PAA’s Emergency Energy Assistance program.

Recurring Event – Chair Yoga & Meditation
Peninsula Agency on Aging has partnered with Breathing Space, Inc., a non-profit promoting mindful movement, to offer a weekly Chair Yoga class. People with chronic pain and challenges with balance are welcome.
Come alone or bring a friend. Family caregivers: Please bring your loved one.
This program is for adults age 60 and over. No registration is required and participation is FREE.
Recurring Dates – Advance Care Planning
The Advance Care Planning Coalition of Eastern Virginia and the As You Wish Advance Care Planning program is pleased to partner with the Hospice Foundation of America and other As You Wish community partners in presenting Being Mortal: a community discussion on health care at end-of-life. Based on the best-selling book by Atul Gawande, MD, MPH, the program includes a screening of the PBS FRONTLINE film Being Mortal followed by informative discussion on what matters most to individuals and families and how to be prepared ahead of a medical crisis.
As You Wish is conducting a series of these community events, at eleven locations, this fall in support of the important and helpful message offered by this national program of community engagement.
